I Vibe Coded A ‘Duck Hunt’ Dupe To Sell Gummies

I took coding classes in college, but don’t remember anything. It’s the same thing as taking Spanish in high school and only being able to understand and say a few words today. I don’t go to Mexican restaurants ordering my meals in Spanish. I should not have been able to make this Bird Hunt game. 

In the footer of the site, we have the Chill Country ranch gate with our cowboy hanging in a hammock around some plants and birds. We thought it would be fun if the birds flew around. Then we thought it would be cool if you could shoot the birds like the old arcade game ‘Duck Hunt’. We talked about it for years. Claude Code made it a two-week project.

How the Game Works

Birds fly across a Texas sunset. You shoot them. The more you drop, the better the deal:

5 birds — 10% off
15 birds — 15% off
30 birds — 20% off

And once per round, a Golden Bird shows up. If you hit it, you unlock a Buy One Get One (the best reward in the game). If you miss it, it’s gone.

When you earn a reward you put in your email and we send the code. You can also enter a friend’s email. And if you’re reading this, I want to let you in on a little secret. You can play and unlock that BOGO as many times as you want.

You’re Using AI Wrong

Most people are using AI to write their copy and generate “lifestyle” images. That’s the least interesting thing you can do with it. I see it as a repeated task eliminator and a software developer. All those SaaS subscriptions you pay for that kind of do what you need (because they were made to fit all companies), can now be replaced with something completely tailored to your business or hobby. That’s what this game is. Madison is building some crazy internal tools for our operations, but I’ll let him share that.

Why Any of This

Because we can, really. We’re a small brand. We have room to do things a larger company would never let their employees do on company time.
